What the client said
“I recently engaged VGC NYC to do an extensive renovation of a 100 year- old co-op apartment with original kitchen and bathrooms. While these areas were given a more contemporary treatment, the architectural appointments in the rest of the space were restored or recreated to retain the original pre-war quality of the apartment. The outstanding result reflects the excellent quality and craftsmanship of the subcontractors particularly evident in the large amount of custom millwork.
While the process was daunting, Ed, Felisha at the VGC office, and the project manager, Rodney, made every effort to assure that the work was done efficiently and to a very high standard. The VGC team working in the apartment was always accommodating, respectful and frequently went above and beyond to make the experience as pleasant as a long renovation could have been.
Because I reside outside of New York City, the apartment is being used as a pied-a-terre yet, while I was not always available during the renovation, I never felt “out of the loop.” Ed was always available by telephone or e-mail if anything unforeseen arose and he always followed through without delay. Throughout, I felt that the process was collaborative and that my requests were given full consideration.
The VGC team followed through on last little repairs when many other contractors might have called the job complete, coming back until everything was just right. This is one way in which Ed has consistently displayed professionalism and integrity and he clearly takes tremendous pride in getting the job done expertly.
The final result of the renovation project is beautiful beyond my expectations. I have recommended VGC NYC to others and have only heard the best of feedback and do so again without hesitation.”
